Design revamp for the excellent Here & Now journal for The Academy of Urbanism. The mission of the academy is to recognise, encourage and celebrate great places across the UK, Europe and beyond, and the people and organisations that create and sustain them. The new look of the journal takes into account the serious intellectual nature of the organisation, creating a periodical that has been designed with clear information heirarchy and accessible content.
Divided into three sections – colour coded by tinted pages – the journal design utilises different grids and style sheets that communicates and differentiates between the main features and the ‘lighter’ pieces. Typeset using Laski Slab to give a modern contemporary feel – printed on a sustainable uncoated stock, perfect bound with spine.
